Sightseeing!

Day Four,

It was the last day of our trip. Visited some places of interest in Malaysia and all of their hottest tourist attractions. First stop we went was this famous Temple. It's very unique as it contains 3 different religions in it under one roof, known as the Taoism, Buddhism and Confucious.

It was very smoky there due to the smoke from the incense worshippers offered and many different types of statues were there from a range of big to small. Aunty Eileen also taught us how the people worshipped by casting out lots and later on throwing two kidney-shaped wooden blocks to determine if the Gods their worshipping to accpeted or rejected their request.

So many steps. Abit complicated eh.

So after the little tour in the Temple with 3 religion, we were allowed forty minutes of shopping break! :>

Passed by this shop that sells Nyonya clothwear, handmade beaded shoes and more stuffs about the Nyonyas!

Everyone bought some things but were still not satisfied as we wanted a real shopping trip! Yuppyupp, moving on.

We were brought to many beautiful places and our second stop was giving the Portuguese area a visit. Hmm, didn't know that there were so many cultures, religions and different countries of people living in Malaysia! My impression of Malaysia were always, "Malays, Halal Food everywhere, Muslims." I didn't know there were Chinese, let alone Portuguese! Yeah, stereotypical of me, I know.

Our Bus stopped at this carpark.

Pretty pretty!

Gorgeous view! Someone mentioned that he wanted to marry here. LOL.

And this is a stage for the Portuguese to perform at night, whenever they have some special occasion going on. They live a a vibrance and interesting life yeah?

And so, Aunty Eileen led us to see one the houses where the Portuguese lived. While walking, I noticed a Christian Church! Aunty Eileen said that the Portuguese were Christians. Cooooooool.

"This may be one of the last Portuguese houses you see here. As you can see, it's made purely from wood. The reason why there's not many these type of houses left standing anymore were due to financial issues. As wood were much more costly than normal concrete homes, people than rather buy the cheaper, concrete house instead of this wooden one." Aunty Eileen explained.

Hahah. I didn't know there were Christians in Malaysia, too! So exciting. :D And after viewing all the Portuguese stuffs, we headed back to our bus.

Now, we're turning in to the Malay area. Before reaching our destination, we passed by this school.

CANOSSA CONVENT, can you believe it?!
This was my PRIMARY SCHOOL! The SAME BADGE! Gosh. This is uber cool!!

Oki, now to the Malays!

There's this magical well that claims that there never fails to have water inside it, even when there's a drought. Cool right! Gilbert trying out the water.

Look at their house man! Prettily built with cute steps. Looks so welcoming!

Aunty Eileen further explained that they are holes and spaces in between the house.
This is a sideview of how that house up there looks like. Notice the holes I've drew and that they're built up so tall, instead of starting their base on groundfloor? Why? The next picture explains why!

So that they could move the house literally!
The blue sticks I've drew above represents thick, wooden sticks, and these sticks will go through the house and a couple of strong men will then literally move the house to another location. Cool, ain't it?

Was allowed like, fifteen minutes break for shopping!

Alright, moving on! As the bus came to a hault, I sat at my seat looking out through the windows and took this down. :)

A mosque!

More mosque!

Nice graffiti! The whole stretch of drain were filled with these art. Coooool.

Can you see a man sleeping at the left hand side near the plants?

We were then brought to this place where they have loads of flags aligned together. The tallest and biggest Malaysian flag were also present!

The pride of Malaysians.

They have very fine craftsmen eh? So pwetty lah! Anyway, these buildings that I have took were joined together.
The most left of the building.

The middle of the building.

The most left of the building.

I have no idea what this is but it looked beautiful. Like one of the buildings in Rome eh.

Not forgetting a whole group picture! :D

Up next, we gave Cocoa Boutique a visit!

They sell pure chocolates there and have a wide range of varieties! There's real durian and strawberry fruits, even the infamous Tongkat Ali. LOL. But the most unique flavour is still the Hot Chilli and Curry one. As Malaysia is known for their spices, they created this flavour. SO COOL.

Afterwhich, more sightseeing againnnnn.

And finally, LUNCH! :D
Had Nyonya dishes for lunch. The food was greaaaat and aweeeesome man. Seriously. It's yums! ♥

My rice. Yuppyupp, I only ate this portion of rice. Hahah!

Yumyums! ♥♥♥

Photos of our table. :)

And went sightseeing more againnnn!

Pwetty pwetty!

Cute ship!

And this ferris wheel thingy.

Twin towers! Beautiful right!

After tour heavenly lunch and having done with our sightseeing, we were then brought to a bigggg shopping mall and were allowed three hours! WHEEEEEEE.

COOL RIGHT!
Saw this lovely car in a shoe shop!! ♥

And furry animal rides for kids.

Once the time was up, all of us headed back to our Coach and were on our way back to our hometown, Singapore.

Took a picture with our dear tour guide, Aunty Eileen before we left Malaysia's custom!

Yuppyupp, that's all for our Malaysia trip. I believed all who went there have no regrets and became smarter! I hoped you guys learnt something new through this blog and study hard for our upcoming O's!

Of course, do not forget to party like a rockstar, too!

*Winks. ;)
